I'd like to remove the seats in my '62 in order to chance the foam and springs.
I don't have the AIM manual yet, is there a special trick to removing the bolts?
I've looked, and access especially on the back and inside looks difficult?
Thanks,
Paul
Adjust the seat back as far as it will go. Take out the bolts that hold the front of the brackets through the floor. Pull the entire seat forward, which will disengage the rear brackets from the brackets bolted through the floor.
Lift the seat out. Piece of cake.
Removing the seats are easy.I have a 62 and done it a few times. Have the seats pushed all the way back. There are 2 bolts per seat. An open end wrench works well. After removing the bolts, slide the whole seat forward to get the back part of the tracks out of the rear support bracket. Then carefully take your seats out. The bolts holding the back and seat part together are very easy to take out.
