    Nicki (sp?) Chevrolet in Chicago

    I've been trying to trace the history of my '57 corvette and I've gotten as far back as the 2nd owner. The original owner was supposedly a mechanic at Niki Chevrolet in Chicago.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might go from here? I would love to figure out who the first owner was.

    I've gotten back to the dealer that bought out the old dealership, but there are no records left. Also, the DMV for Illinois only keeps records for 10 years.

      Not sure the spelling of Nicki Chevrolet but I do remember that they had the "K" backwards in the signs and used that in their radio and TV advertisements.

              It was NICKY with a backward K...go to the Yenko super car site, I believe one of the former owners son`s posts there all the time Tom Stephani...he may be in a position to help you...

                      This is the best lead I've gotten so far. I just went to the website and found a link to a "Nickey Chicago". From there there is a "contact us" link to an email address named "stefano". I sent my question to them, so hopefully I'll hear something back.

                          Do you know which area Tom typically post under? My email to the contact address came back, so I was going to post a question directed at Tom. I just want to make sure I get in on the right board.
