Anyway,
Coupe and Vert's no holes or nut plates up to VIN 6500
After VIN 6500 to about 7300 holes and nut plates, but no wedges
After VIN 7300 to about 14000 both coupe and verts have 4 wedges
After VIN 14000 to about 16000 coupes have 2 rear wedges
After VIN 14000 to about 19000 verts have 2 rear wedges
After VIN 16000 for Coupe and after VIN 19500 no wedges

Stan, Hood wedges or blocks started approximately Vin 6500.
Page 41 of the JM spells it out quite nicely. Key word used and to be remembered is "approximately." It seems the hood blocks is a science in itself as there were so many changes and omissions of their usuage.
My 9916 car has four of them. All original. My other '63 which was almost 19,500 had zero. Another '63 I had used 2. Don't remember the month of it though. Looks like they were grasping for straws on those blocks. You have to read the book carefully as coupes and converts "sometimes" used them at different intervals at times and different combos.
