I'm not sure about C2 Corvettes but my 69 427 has two engine lift brackets, one on the front left of the intake and the other is on the aft rear of the intake or head.

Phil, to my knowledge the use of brackets started with the '68 model year

Re: 67 L71 motor pull brackets

i'm getting ready to sell a 396 caprice 80k mile very original car and thought i would remove the motor pull brackets as they are hard to find---for some reasone i thought they would work on my 67 l71 ( very slightly bubbaized) but for the life of me could not find pull brackets on 67 vets---my 67 396 camaro had them and that is what led me astray---thanks for the responses

This is rather interesting as my '66 Biscayne 396 and my '66 Caprice 396 both have the lifts.

My Production Engineering Group at the Chevrolet Pilot Line developed the new corporate engine lift hooks and lifting brackets, and they were released for first usage for the 1968 model year. Photo below shows the assortment of 1967 assembly plant hooks required that carried engines by the exhaust manifolds on the left, and the only two hooks required for the 1968 model year engines equipped with lift brackets on the right.
