As promised yesterday, here's front and back views of the notorious '64-65 C60 fan # 3853943 (see GM dwg reproduced in Noland's Vol 2, pg 218). It's difficult to convey the angles and bends in this piece from a 2-dimensional dwg. Note only 4 rivets per spider (mushroom heads on this '64,-early '65). On this particular unit, there is only the letter "H" stamped on the front hub (seen here at the root of the right-most blade. No stampings on the blades.
First link below is of the backside (no "W" stampings on the spiders).
Second link below is a comparison of two 5-blade fans, to show the slightly different blade angle; the top is fan # 3888366, used for 1966 427's (and '67 also, I think); except C60 big blocks. The bottom is 3770529 for all 327 engines other than C60. Both of these have 5-rivet spiders; you can see the mushroom-head rivets on the '64 fan (bottom) and the flat-head rivets on the top. Stampings on the upper fan, front side are "H", FRONT, and "66" for the last 2 digits of the part #. On the back side, one of the spiders has the letter "W" stamped. On the '64 fan, only "H" appears on the front hub; nothing else front or back. Neither of these fans has stampings on the blades.
Any comments are welcome; sorry I don't have examples or knowledge of any other late C2 fans.
