Sweet Cub! When I was in college (yes, airplanes had been invented then ), my roommate and I flew a restored J-3 Cub from Michigan to Arizona, then to the Piper plant in Vero Beach, Florida, then to the other Piper plant in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and back to Michigan. That 65-hp Continental just purred while we iron-compass navigated and kept an eye on the wire fuel gauge.
