Whose cap are you inquiring about? I believe that there are two, if not 3, reproduction versions.

Pastrick, I'm out of the country and away from the file so I can't give you the source of my cap but it has passed flight gudgeing in the past . I am preparing for the "Nationals" and want to get it right. Perhaps you could reveal the most "correct repo 307 radiator cap. Thanks stan#19259- Top

Re: 63 radiator cap versus "correct"repo/points?
Stan,
Perhaps instead of "does the current repro receive full judging points" a more accurate question would be "Is there a current repro 307 that would receive full judging points." You have already answered this by stating that your current cap has received full credit at a meet.
I would suspect, based on observations of many other caps, that if Long Island makes their own 307s like they do other radiator caps, it iwill be the most accurate. There may be nuances that make it detectable but I cannot say how much.
Note that you are likely only to lose 1-2 points (if any) with the repro 307 you currently own. Whether or not 1-2 points is enough for you to spend $35 on another cap is a question only you can answer.
