    Another corvette value question

I'm trying to figure out the relative value of my 69 L-36 when it's finished as compared to a 69 L-68, L-71 or L-89 of equal or lower condition and Im wondering if this guide very realistic.

    http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...-1&y=1969&da-1

The way I see it, an average end 69 L-36 coupe is worth around 25k and an average end 69 L-89 convert is around 63k. I'm just wondering if the value placed on these cars is realistic and more so, is the spread between them realistic? This would make the L-89 convert worth 2.5 times more than the L-36 coupe with all other things being equal. I'm not debating that, just wondering if it's realistic.

In general, how much do you guys trust the NADA quide..good, bad, hit and miss? Still trying to get an idea what various tri-power cars are worth in relation to my L-36 when it's finished.

    too much emphasis......

i think sometimes too much value is placed on different hp motors. i have a 69 L46 and i dont believe there is all that much difference from the base 300hp motor (cam, compression). now dont get me wrong, i would always try to get the higher option, bigger hp car but unless it was a super rare collectible, i think the price differences in the motors from that site are crazy. just mho.

I will buy every documented L-89 that you can find at the $63,000 quote.

big power always wins the price war. whether a hemi a 427 a boss 429 etc. big money reflects performance. in my opinion that is just the way the muscle car world goes.
