    A/C 327 Upper Radiator Seal

Could someone please tell me exactly how the upper rubber radiator shield on 327's with air conditioning is suppose to be mounted. In the AIM on page G274 (UPC C60/B2) it shows the upper seal in the first figure in the upper left of the page. However, they omit which direction is front. In that image, I assume the front nose of the car is in back of the page while the engine is in front. This would make the notched portion of the upper seal face the engine compartment. Is that interpretation correct? I have seen several images with this orientation reversed - see Dobbins Fact Book 63-67 pages 241, 242 and 243 - all of which show the notched portion of the upper seal facing the front nose of the car with the large un-notched portion laying over the top of the radiator.

Someone, please clarify this for me. Thanks.

On my 3227/350 car the notch is for clearence of the Shroud Mount. Therefore, notch to engine is correct. Al W.

That's what I thought too, and it would seem to fit with the AIM image as long as I have the orientations correct, but Dobbins book confused me a bit. Thanks.
