I wrote an article as well on Kingpin replacement. "California shims" as I recall. If the spindle holders are damaged, the thing to do is sneak up on a replacement pair at your local junkyard. Make sure you can differentiate between a passenger car/Corvette, and a pick up truck. The truck versions won't work. I don't usually see damaged or worn Spindle holders. Sure the trouble ain't elsewhere?
