    Restoration of Tach and Speedometer

I own a 65 roadster. Last fall the needle of my tachometer spun off. I am scheduled to take the dash out next week and need some advise on where to send my tach to be restored. I am also considering sending in the speedometer mechanism at the same time since I will be spending the money to gain access to the entire panel. Any advice as to who can do good work in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost? Thanks, Tom

Yes. Did my 66 gauge cluster with excellent results and great turnaround time.

If I recall correctly, it was only a couple of weeks.
Dropped off my cluster at Carlisle, talked to him on the phone September 6th on a couple of details, showed up at my door shortly thereafter.

Don't forget to send your ignition key if your switch is still in the cluster.

I shipped my 67 cluster to Jason at Vetteinstruments in TN in early October last year. I had heard very positive reviews of his work. I can't comment on that yet because I have not received my cluster back.

It was supposed to have been shipped about 10 days ago - have not been able to reach Jason for more than a week to confirm. I don't want to believe that anything is amiss, but it is a bit odd. Does anyone know Jason or have routine contact with him - hopefully he is just away on vacation for a bit or some such thing.

              Another Vote for

Joe Ray, he restored the 'LB' cluster for our '65. Looks brand new, reasonable cost, good communication and delivered when promised. JR knows speedo's as well as anyone.

              Hope this helps,

              Mark
