    C2 door panel tool

Does anyone have any tips on 1965 inner door lock knob removal the tool I have is about 2 inches wide and works good for the window cranks, but the lock knob is recessed so far im afraid i will damage the panel.

A scribe with a short bent hook end will work. You need to be very careful that you don't slip and damage the door panel. It might help if you have someone press in around the knob on the panel to help in exposing the clip. Try to reach in and hook the closed end of the clip. I've done it with success.

C2 door panel tool; a bent paper clip

A large bent paper clip works great. I agree 100% with you that the door handle tool will damage the panel. The paper clip works great.

I will try that steve ,maybe i can slide a thin flat piece of plastic in between the panel and the tool for safety.

            Jim,
You may be able to remove the door lock with a shop rag. Place the ends of a shop rag between the lock knob and the door panel so that the rag snags the ends of the clip that hold the knob on and pull in the opposite direction the clip was inserted.
