C2 door lock rotation

Is it true that the proper way the doors lock from the outside are as follows, driver door locks clockwise ,and pass door couterclockwise ,mine do just the opposite ,I remember when I installed them, I had them as above but they did not seem to work very good ,the way they are now they work great,the little tab with the hole on the lock drum is torwards the rear of the car where the rod slips in .

My locks work well as you explained.... drivers door locks with clockwise rotation etc. The tabs will be toward the front of the car. Have you installed the rod from the lock to the latch mechanism correctly? Check the AIM. They are left-right oriented as are the locks.

I had to remove the little tab on the inside of the lock and change the direction so they face forward now they are ok ,it was a lot of work for such a silly thing .thanks steve
