Spare Tire ?

Can anyone possibly tell me which car manufature may have used the "Mohawk Jet Chief" 6.70 x 15 tire? I have several of these in my attic and though I may just use one as a spare( non-driveable of couse ) for my 63 ragtop. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't say, for sure, since I have no knowledge of the OEM tires used on every car during the pre-metric period. However, I strongly doubt that a tire of the one you described was ever originally used on any car. I know, for sure, it was never used on Corvette. I strongly suspect that Mohawk-branded tires were replacement only.

Would a replacement brand tire take a bit hit point wise during judging?

I know that the spare does not have to be of the same brand as the road tires. However, I don't know if a replacement-only type tire would suffer a deduction, or not.
