    Re: More...

I have taken quite a few C-3's apart and have never seen the brace on a coupe

        It's not an AIM mistake...

UPC 1, Sheet A1 is an omnibus directory describing the Cab Frame Welding & Dash Panel as a table of CONTENTS. It's labeled for model 19000 since what's shown there applies to both coupes and convertibles.

The call-out for 'Under Dash Brace Rods' merely tells you to turn to Shee A9 for details. When you flip to Sheet A9, the under dash brace rods are shown being installed BUT the model designation on Sheet A9 clearly defines 19467 (convertible only) as the applicable body to receive the braces....

As an ex-design engineer, the AIM is perfectly clear to me. But, I can see how a novice could be confused. It's a matter of dotting the 'i' and crossing the 't' when you read the drawings.

          DANG!!! Uncle Jack, Yer Gud...

You have to read the small print to see what Patricia is talking about. I turned to UPC 1, Page A1, and didn't see anything...I thought the 72 AIM must be different.

P.S. Patricia, when referencing the AIM, always give the UPC section (in this case UPC 1). Each section has a page A1...there must be a dozen or more of them.

            Patricia-----

I don't think that the anchor points for the rods are present on coupes. However, even if they were, I don't think that they'd be any significant structural value generated by installing them on a coupe.
