    Vehicle Certification Label-info?

These questions are for the BLUE GM label on the upper rear of the drivers side door.
    I have a 1972 Coupe 350 motor w/400 automatic transmission and A/C.
What would the correct numbers(weight) be for this vehicle? see below
    GVWR.....
    GAWR.....
    FRT......
    REAR.....
    Where are these numbers found?
I know the build date and vin number are also included on this label.
I was confused as to the above numbers/weights and where to find that information.
ALSO.....is "PASSENGER CAR" typed in at the bottom of the label also?
My judging manual shows that wordage on the very bottom....
    THANKS ALL !!!

    Re: Vehicle Certification Label-info?

Dave, you don't mention the build date of your car. The GVW was not added until January 1972 as best we can determine. Look at page 23 of the new 1970-72 JG for photos (although they are not the best). PASSENGER CAR was also added at the same time.

I have always been told that the best way to get the numbers for a car is to find a known original with the same options, although the data may be available somewhere else.

If you have the tank sticker I think you will find the weights on it.

Check with the person on E-bay that sells them they say they can help. They are cheap but I have not seen their work so you are on your own. With your post here some NCRS member may make the labels and contact you.
