more of the same!
My brother and I had just rebuilt the L88 (12:1 compression) in the 69 about 1985 or 86 and some punko in a late '60's Dodge was acting up to impress the girl sitting next to him! Needless to say, with the headers and 4.10 rear, we went sideways in first and second gear and finally hooked up in third gear. By then we were quite a bit ahead of him! (I think the 7000 RPM shifts may have been a little intimidating for him).
Ah the good old days - two lanes of blacktop each way with a median strip, in the middle of NOWHERE, with no traffic or cross streets!
