Re: I gave up on the Driveline years ago
I have also been taken by the fine man at Goathill. Ever since then I make it a point to always use the restroom inside the building at Carlisle where he has a booth. Everytime I have to go I walk by his booth and clearly point out to my accompanying friends in a rather loud voice.... "hey look that's the guy who screwed me over on my '63 fuel pump rebuild". A buddy who always attends the show with me responds in a equally loud voice with ... "yep, he screwed me too, I can't believe he is still in business and anyone would give him money".... Goathill just stares at us.
We continue on a take a leak, then of course need to replace the fluids immediately (often with beer). Probably doesn't do much good, but we've been doing it for years and it provides us with good comic relief.
Haven't bought a thing from him since. Sorry Rob, he's a jerk!
