Either bottom is acceptable, yes the inlet and outlet are marked. The top is also unique, both in color due to the material used, and the configuration. Cast bottoms will carry the AC logo molded in, the stamped bottoms do not.

              Nice set of pictures.

I got out a few spares and checked them with pictures and they are identical.

Other minor problem is that GM on service replacements in the late 60's provided you with a brass "L" fitting to connect fuel inlet to supply line on frame. The steel "L" fitting is orig.and hard to find. My 65 FI and 365 both have the steel "L" fitting, it is Zink plated and not cadnium
The pump material was magnesium. That is why is was so light. The bottom cast cover was from early cars, My late 66 and 66 service replacement has stamped cover. Later service pumps looked identical but were heavy due to use of pot metal. They are cosmetically nearly identical and unless its off the car to check weight you can't tell the difference.

Don should your pump have IN marking on the inlet side.
