I was at the KYANA swap meet in Louisville today and saw a very weird intake. It appeared to be a Camaro Z-28 crossram for a single 4 barrell. The casting number of the base plate was 14031372 and it was NOS with the Winters snowflake. Someone had done a very nice job fabricating an aluminum lid that bolts onto the baseplate. I can only assume that the baseplate is for an early 80s crossfire injection system and someone has milled the plenum runners to almost nonexistent and added the single 4 barrell baseplate. It certainly looked very professional and nice, but will this actually work on a smallblock for street use? The ports looked very small. Has anyone else ever seen this done?
Thanks,
Rex
