Re: Quick-ebay car-get it before it's pulled
Definitely a scam, and it will get pulled shortly. The seller puts an absurd buy it now price, but does not have a buy it now option on the auction. He wants you to contact him via email, so he can conduct the transaction off ebay.- Top

Re: Quick-ebay car-get it before it's pulled
Last year the FBI's annual report stated that the Nigerian e-mail scammers netted over $56 million from Americans - that's just the scam e-mails (you've won the Transylvania lottery, help me get my dead husband's $35 million out of the country, etc.), and doesn't include the eBay car auction overseas scammers. Hard to believe there are that many gullible people out there, but one of the local church treasurers fell for it, and the church is out $300,000.00 as a result (and has a new treasurer).- Top

I can see where one might fall for it with OPM, but one has to be living under a rock or in a cave not to know about these people. 56 Mil is a big number -- I'm sure it goes a long way in Nigeria. What part of "If it is too good to be true, it probably is" don't folks understand.Terry- Top
