I am restoring a 1968 427/400 car with AC. The original intake was removed and not to be found. I have gathered up everything except the 2 pc + solenoid bracket for the AC kick down. I have pulsed the system and because so few were made, most long time parts perveyors have not seen one of these for 10 plus years. And the price was in excess of $3,000. Is anyone making a reproduction now or anyone know of one that is for sale, or even pictures would help in the fabrication of one. It is a 2 part bracket system with a few more parts that attach to the main throttle arm. Gary

Re: 1968 427 3x2 AC Kick Down solenoid
There are several individuals considering making the bracket. It is a rather complicated stamping. I had the blue prints at one time and shopped it to several short run shops. The cheapest quote I had was in excess of $10,000 for just the tooling. Given the limited number of potential buyers, maybe 50?. I doubt that it will be economically feasible for anyone to reproduce it. Hope that I am wrong. BTW the last complete assembly that I know of being sold brought over $5,000Dick Whittington- Top

Dick,
I am hopeful that you will re-post or email the wonderful picture you posted a while back, topside view of one of these showing the label. I couldn't get to it in the archives for some reason.
I'll add it to my photos of my bracket solenoid, and provide to people everytime this question comes up.
Regards,
