The JG only allows a plastic steering wheel however the N32 was listed for 64. Adams book says it was available first in 65. So are there any experts left who know the real story?

when reading Noland Adams' book. The material there, while exhaustive, is VERY old compared to what's in the NCRS literature. Further, while Noland's a great guy, it's NCRS that provides judging services and not Noland...
The N32 option is NOT called out in Chevy production records as an available 1964 option. Therefore, you should expect a SUBSTANTIAL deduction during Flight Judging for a teak wheel on your car with the wheel being viewed as a service replacement.
The worst case would be a full deduction (all originality and condition points) with judges ruling this was a car configuration change based on owner/dealer inspired option addition...
