Ok, since there are not any repros of Firestone 500s being made, what solution is there for tire replacement? What type of judging deduction will be assessed?
first, do you have a Judging Reference Manual? if not, RECOMMEND everyone have one and then you will know the standard deductions.
second, get an OEM tire by Firestone - at least you have what came originally on your car from an OEM perspective.
third, get the tire that comes to the closest APPROXIMATION of size, tread, etc. that you can get. I am thinking an Indy 500 Firestone Firehawk or something along those lines?????
fourth, check with someone like Diamondback and get their recommendations
