Which of the horn buttons in the photo is correct for 67? I've seen both on various cars 66 & 67. Have no idea of the history of those cars.

Re: 67 C2 Horn Button
Hi Steve,
Just went to the garage to check for you. My sunfire yellow small block 67, purchased from original owner, and my Marina Blue 435, (documented to original owner) both have the upper left corner of the cross flag checkered side in white.
These cars are a week apart Nov 14th and Nov 21st build dates.. don't know about later 67's.
Seems like I have read something about the cross flags checkered side being a little different, depending on who painted it.
Are those the only differences between your buttons?
Hope this helps,
Jacob Angel

The "flag" differences are one item. The chrome outer ring is rounded off on the left one and "sharp" on the right. That is the difference that I've been looking at.- Top

Re: 67 C2 Horn Button
THats the one that the judge didn't think was correct. I purchased it about 20 years ago. The one on the right was on the car when I bought it in 82. It is quite "weathered". Thats why I replaced it. I noticed in the catalogs that there is one listed "67 only", however I don't know what it looks like; left or right or a third version.....- Top

Re: 67 C2 Horn Button
Well, John Z has spoken so that is your for sure answer!!!
to add to that:
I did just go back down to the garage for you... both of my 67's are top left upper corner white of checkered area, and both rounded... like yours on the left.
I am 99% sure that these are both original to both cars!- Top

Re: 67 C2 Horn Button
I think it's a reissue like the horn button for 53 to 55 the one on the right is original (more black area in the flag) then the reissue left one with (more white area in the flag) that GM later sold.
Most reissue parts are some what different then the original and some supplers make the mistake in reproing the reissue part.

Steve and All, There was a discussion Tues 1 March 2005 at 8:05 started by Randy6423. Perhaps a search will bring it up.
In any event here are 2 I have. One is believed original, the other unknown. I'll post the face in this message and the back in the next.

Re: 67 C2 Horn Button
Nick, my button is identical to the one on your left in the photo...down to the "GT" stamp, which I purchased in '82 era. Which one is deemed original in your earlier post?- Top
