    Re: L.I.C. ..... FAX

I was in sales with a large Cap. company before I retired. Customers would piss on my head all the time every day, I just smiled.

Long Island? That's near NYC isn't it? I thought ALL people from that part of the country were SUPPOSED to be rude....That's simply their nature!! For them, that's just part of being an American!

I think it is a big misconception based on ones you meet from there in other areas. I have found the people in and around NYC to be very friendly and helpful in most encounters. We have people from there who I have never met who still send holiday cards and birthday cards to my family.

I was out on the east end of the island one time with car problems. Some guys told me if I needed a place to work on it, they had a garage 2 miles down the road, and if I needed a place to stay overnight, I was more than welcomed to stay there.

Life is too short to deal with schmucks. Find another source for your parts and let him go whistle. He deserves no business-- from you ar any one else.

Questions from customers are part of doing business. You can't P** O** everyone. The word gets out. I have read enough. I won't be calling or faxing them for anything.

I have spoken with the owner of LIC once several years ago to order a ragtop frame for my 57. He made me feel like the newbie I was at the time. I decided not to call him anymore. Then a year later I was making a call for some parts listed in the Corvette Trader.... this rude guy answers and I knew right away it was him... I asked him is this LIC, and he said yes.... I said GOOD BYE!

People like him, and C.C., or just any vendor that is rude when you are trying to spend your hard earned green backs.... doesn't deserve our cash!

                      Best,
                      Jacob

                        Re: L.I.C. Rudeness

The first time I called LIC I got the owner and he made me feel like an idiot. I wanted to chat a bit and discuss my part/car. He did not want to have any part of it. So I quickly got to the point and hung up. Knowing the last experience I had with LIC I decided to be a dick like he was to me and we had a nice call.
I fax everything now, but would not deal with them if they did not have good parts readily available.
If you need to speak to anyone as for Todd. He is not much better but a bit better than the old man.
