57 engine harness

what is all involved in installing the engine harness?
what areas of the engine gets new wires?
i installed the dash harness several yrs. ago took all day but worked fine

It's the same process but perhaps a bit easier in the engine compartment than it was in the cockpit. You determine the configuration of the harness assy(s) you need, purchase reproductions, and start from one end disconnecting and removing the old harness and connecting and routing the new harness. For a first time effort, I'd say your 1-day prior experience is a reasonable estimate...

do you know off hand what items ( parts of the car) are includedcin that harness and does any of the new harness extend into the dash area

Paul -

That harness feeds the starter solenoid, coil, and ballast resistor on the engine compartment side, and connects to the ignition switch and ammeter under the dash. Not a big job - takes an hour or two, no special tools required. Disconnect the battery first.
