    63 ps control valve leak ? HELP!!!

    I put a rebuilt power steering control valve on and it leaked out the grease fitting.I put on another rebuilt control valve from another source,PV'd the car and it leaked on the floor after unloading.All other components are rebuilt. Any ideas??? THANKS!

    I don't know how you did it, but you must have gotten 2 bad valves, even though you got them from different sources. There should be NO power steering fluid on the ADAPTER section of the valve assembly. The adapter section is the part with the grease fitting and ball stud.

    Suggestion: purchase a NEW valve. You can purchase these for about $125 with no core charge. They are virtually identical in configuration to the originals. There are only a few slight differences.

      I agree with Joe, buy a new one. Ihad the same experience that you've had, two bad ones, and it's a pain changing those things.
