Was GM# 6498393, a catalytic converter used from 76-79 for L82 applications also used for L48s? Thanks.

The GM #6498393 converter was used for all 1976-79 Corvette applications regardless of installed engine. The only exception was some 1976 models which were built for export to certain countries not requiring exhaust emissions controls.
