'67 small block aluminum intake

I'm helping a friend restore a '67 small block 350hp car. We've received contradictory info regarding his intake manifold. Is it suppose to be natural aluminum or is the aluminum intake manifold painted a silver/aluminum colored paint?

I researched this several years ago and this is how I completed my manifold on a car that was a national top flight (98+). Clean the manifold with whatever you can. Mount the manifold on the block. There is a portion of the head that is exposed between the valve cover and manifold. This along with approximately 2-3 inches including the manifold bolts would be painted silver. Use Krylon Dull aluminum. If your manifold is properly cleaned it will be very difficult to tell the difference between the them. The whole manifold is not painted silver. Just the edges are covered withis process. No need to lay it on heavy.
