Replaced two plastic/nylon gears in the drivers side headlight several years ago. Recently headlight movement stopped. Assumed that the gears had failed again. The passenger headlight has original gearing and works great. Removed drivers side headlight assembly and found the earlier replaced gears in very good condition. The larger gear has rubber shock absorbers placed in compartments of the gear. Two of these rubber shock absorbers somehow became displaced from the gear and ended up in the rotation of the electric motors worm gear and became wedged between the housing and the worm gear and stopped the rotation of the worm gear. Reassembled the headlight minus two of the rubber shock absorbers and left the leadlights electric motor disconnected. Turned the manual knob to position the headlight in closed position and applied the spring clip. Anyone know where new shock absorber rubbers can be purchased?
