    C2 auto transmission knob removal

On a '67, is the auto transmission knob removed by simply unscrewing it? I'm not competing for the dumbest question of the year (century?), I'd rather ask than have little parts flying all over the place. (I know, there's no dumb questions, just dumb questioners.) Thanks.

Yes, it is a threaded connection. The only parts that you need be concerned about as it comes off are the button and the spring. Usually, they will pretty much stay with the knob and not "fly out unexpectedly".
