    7 blade fan pn 3853943

I have an NOS 7 blade fan in the original box, pn 3853943, the box is dated 4-6-67, written on the box is 64-66 a/c fan blade. Can someone identify the use for this blade?
    thanks, Ken #1020

'65 parts book says '64-65 Corvette with A/C, second design, '68 parts book shows application thru '66 Corvette.

        To add to Bill's observations

        My July '65 P&A30 shows 3858943 as Bill quotes. 1st design '63-64 w/AC is shown as 3789562.

Then, Oct '65 catalog extends the "943" to include another year (ie.'64-66)

Same thing in Oct '66 P&A30, except they now describe "943" as "1st design" [a typo?], while still maintaining the "562" also as first design '63-64.

Then, Oct '67, "943" for '64-66 first design, but adds another line for "562" used for '66-68 327 w/C.A.C. [2nd design]; (still 1st design for '63-64).

and July '69 catalog shows "943" same as Oct '67, as does Jan '70 P&A30B catalog.

Remember these catalog listings are for SERVICE, not necessarily production.

Would this per chance fit my 1969 427/390 (L36) A/C car if you chose to part with it?

              Need my "943" for my '65 A/C

Besides, this is a weirdly-shaped fan that would look out-of-place on anything but the appropriate '64 or '65 (still doubt catalog's call as service for '66s)

My Oct '69 revision of the Corvette catalog P&A30B (don't have the AIM) calls for '69 Corvette (C.A.C. w/H/Per.) (350, 427) (exc. 3 x 2) requiring fan # 3955182. My Jan '70 catalog says this fan also fits '70 Corvettes, 350cu.in with air, and describes it as 17_1/2" diameter and 7 blades.

                Joel-----

It might fit (or, it might not since the original fan for your application was 17-1/2" OD and this 3853943 is 18" OD), but it certainly won't be correct for your application.
