My 66 roadster has a front license plate frame mounted. I am from Pa. where no front plate is required. I have mounted an NCRS logo plate to the front frame and it has gone through two chapter judgings with no points deductions. The car will soon be judged at a regional and I'm wondering if I should remove the front frame and logo plate, since it may not have been on the car when delivered to the dealer.

You should be able to go either way...with or without. It came from GM with one. The dealer removed it if it wasn't needed or wanted.- Top

Re: C2 Front License Plate Frame
IMO, you may wish to have the front license plate frame in a storage compartment in case a judge asks to see it. I believe, but stand to be corrected, that mid-year Corvettes were delivered with two license plate frames. However, if only one is necessary and you remove the front one, it should probably be in the original wrapper, the exact form of which I have never seen. Sooooo, maybe it would be better to leave it as is???
Good luck in your next judging,

Re: C2 Front License Plate Frame
Depends on what state you're from. From the '67 JG, Fourth Edition, page 62, Front License Plate Frame, "For judging purposes, license plate frames must be installed if a plate is installed. If a front license plate is not required by state law, assign full credit."- Top

Re: C2 Front License Plate Frame
I'm from Pa. and the last time I had flight judging, I was told just to have the frame available or just lay it up front on the ground. So the next time I just hung it over the front bracket and that was ok. I also want to do a regional, and I plan to just do the same thing.- Top
