If you check the 56-57 Assembly Manual, Section 12/Sheet 12/Instrument Wiring, you will see that the date for the change from ORANGE to DK. BLUE is listed as 10-11-56. I hope this helps...
HOWEVER.............the 10-11-56 date is ONLY the date that the "revision" was entered in the AIM, NOT the date of the actual part change. The actual change could have been weeks before or after the revision date.
