Re: 1957 Corvette T-10

I was hoping for something good when I pulled the engine and transmission out. I was surprised and happy to see the 0 dash casting.
Very interesting Chevrolet Corvette engine..stamp pad is F122EK, heads are Dec 56 & Jan 57 539 heads with single digit year code. block was cast Jan 18th.
Original untouched 4360 unit, original exhaust manifolds etc..special tach drive 889 distributor. A few bolts are drilled to be wired.
A real time capsule. I am very curious to know if there is an EK grease pencil marking on the bell housing or back of head..that is currently covered in dirt and grime..but I think I will wait till after bloomington to clean it and see.
George Moore did a great job transplanting it into the '54 back in '57
Your comments might be the reason that #775 has a 3 speed in it. One day I will pull that out too and see what markings it might have.
Thanks for the help.
Joe
