Does someone sale the Delco replacements that are painted absorber gray already. If so what has your experience been with judging? Out of the possible 16 points what can one expect to gain over non-Delco shocks?

Re: 69 Shocks
The typical method of judging splits the originality 'universe' along five axis: Finish, Date, Installation, Configuration and Completeness with 1/5th of the originality points going to each area. Therefore, if shocks are known to have been painted 'purple' and yours are green, that's a Finish issue and the judges should deduct 20% of the available originality points for the deviation....- Top

I don't know of any shocks that are available "out-of-the-box" painted the original gray-blue color. However, it's VERY easy to paint them.
The current Delco shocks are not configured exactly like the originals. However, they're as close as any you're going to get that are currently available. Plus, they will perform well and they're inexpensive---less than $100 for the car-set.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Delco #530-315, front, and Delco #530-4, rear.
Correct paint is available from Quanta Products, OEM paints and others.
You can't apply dates to the shocks. These were stamped-in numbers and it's not practical to try to do that.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
