    65 exhaust blackout

    Hi fellas, do the gudges want to see the blackout or mitting of black rust proofing paint as described under blackout exhaust,has anyone done this to there car and what did you use ,how did you apply it and how much did you cover.

    sure hope the judges don't want to see mitting on any C2, and certainly not on a 65, since it didn't happen . . .

      But...

      undercarriage black out DID happen and the Judging Guide will tell you where it's normal to see specific undercarriage items blacked out. The issue here is whether the black out paint was actually applied by hand with a 'mitt' vs. being sprayed on and it's reasonably well known now that hand mitting didn't happen. As far as specific coverage goes on a part by part basis, it was affected by human factors and coverage changed on a job by job basis just like exterior paint overspray, the specific placement of certain labels/decal, Etc.
