I would very much appreciate someone letting me know the manufacture date of my '67 VIN112965. And, unless it's obvious from the mfg date, would it be an 'early' or 'late' car? Thanks for doing this--I don't have the books.

Re: C2 manufacture date
Larry, "Corvette Restoration Guide, 1963 - 1967" lists the serial number range from 100001 through 122940, so your car is a bit past the mid-point of production. The engine ID Code stamped on the right front flange of the block will give you the engine mfr date, so the car's mfr date should be a few weeks after that.- Top

Remember...
the term 'early' vs. 'late' is a generic one. It applies to various running changes made throughout the model year. You have to go part by part to understand what's meant by 'early' vs. 'late' and the Judging Guide will help you hear as it often defines what's meant by early vs. late on a part by part basis....- Top

Re: C2 manufacture date
The manufacturing date (final assembly date???) is typically a day or two after the date stamped on the TRIM TAG (If the body was built in St Louis). If its an AO SMITH body the time span would be much greater....as the body was shipped in to St Louis.- Top

Re: C2 manufacture date
Thanks, Steve. Maybe one day I'll know more about Vettes. I've owned a '66 (bought new, sold in 1968), a '62 (from 1968 to 1970), another '66 (from 1978 to 1986), and now have the '67. But, I have forgotten so much about these cars. I have learned one thing, tho--I'm not going to sell this one!- Top

Re: C2 manufacture date
I wish it was an L-71! No, it's a 327/300, automatic and air, Goodwood Green with saddle leather interior, bolt-ons, side exhaust, both tops. Condition is almost a 1. This is my fourth Vette--I've had a '66 (327/350, 4 speed), a '62 (327/340), another '66 (auto, air, teak/telescoping wheel, CA A.I.R. car), and now the '67. I sold the others just in time--right before the prices went up!I'm keeping this one. Thanks for asking.- Top
