    previous owners of my 1962

I'm hoping that someone can help me out with the past owner research of my 1962. I bought the car in 1975 in South Salem,NY, from a Jim Pearson, but was registered to his father Jack. Jim bought it from his cousin, John Foglia, who had bought it around 1973 from Horace Walters.
Horace bought the car from a Jim Hunter in early 1973, who had gotten it in late1972 from Jim Kegler. Jim Kegler, said he had gotten it from someone in Peekskill, NY and may-be trading a Chevelle for it. When I got it, it was black with black interior and had a small block 350 with an automatic and a Pontiac gate shifter. It was raised up in the rear with air shocks, and had four inch blocks made from I-beams, in the front between frame and the front suspension plus a 427 type hood scoop had been installed. The car was originally fuel injected and Honduras Maroon with black interior and a factory installed hardtop. It appears to have had a drag racing history and evidence of a roll bar at one time. If anyone remembers this car or individuals who owned it especially in the West chester County area of NY or Conneticuit possibly other areas, I would appreciate any help that I could get. Thank you.

I live 1 mile from the city of Peekskill in the Hamlet of Montrose, although I dont go back that far! There are a few old car clubs still around from the 60's. The Road nights is one. You might try to find a web site for them. If you can't, go to WWW.popyourhood.com they have a link there. I know a few of the older auto repair shop and auto parts store owners in and around the area. I will show your discription around over the next few weeks and see if anyone recalls the car.

If you would like to talk to me directly e-mail me and I will provide my phone number.

By the way, I owned a 1962 in Westchester county during this time. It was originally honduras maroon with black interior that I had painted black. It also had air shocks in The rear. It was originally a three speed but I installed a 4 speed tranny. It had fulie emblems of the wrong year on the fenders when I bought it. I still have one of the emblems on my wall!

The car sustained damage to the left front fender centered over the wheel well when the handlebar from my Harley fell onto the car and went through. I damage looked like a long split in the fiberglass. I had it repaired when the car was painted black. Take a look.

I was broadsided in the car when a cop waved me through a red light. I came to in the recovery room at the local hospital. Damage was to the right side from the door into the quarter. The frame was split 3/4 of the way around in the kick up area.

I sold the car to a junk yard in "Da Boogie Down Bronx" . As I was unhooking it from the tow truck some guy was buying it from the yard. 1971
