    1971 LT-1 Leaf Spring Stencil

My 1971 LT-1 has a stencil on the bottom of what I believe to be the original leaf spring. It's a yellow stencil, in letters about 2" tall, "21-225/ML". Any of the C3 guys fill me in as to what the heck it's for, and if it should be there in the first place. There's nothing in the new TIMJ about any stencil, none of my other cars have had any markings at at all on the bottom leaf, and I can't find anything in the archives. Any help would be appreciated! I can submit photos to e-mail addresses, but I have no idea how you guys post pics on the website.

    Thanks!

    Jeremy,

I believe the 21-225 numbers are the spring number assigned by the Spring Research Institute, which implies it's not an orginal GM spring.
