    Electrical Problem - Headlight

My right side low-beam headlight will not come on when the switch is pulled. The driver side low beam and both taillights work fine. When I hit the high beams, both high beams come on and both low-beams light up. I replaced the right side low beam and got the same results, so I'm fairly certain it isn't the headlight.

I'm not sure where to begin, but a little background info may be helpful. Last weekend, I replaced my heater core, which as many of you know requires removal of numerous pieces/parts around and under the dash. This is the second time in 2 years replacing the heater core, so last week went very smooth as I have seen and done it before.

I looked under the dash today in hopes I just knocked a wire loose, but didn't see anything out of sorts.

Anyone seen this problem before or have any advice for troubleshooting this problem.

It sounds like you have an open circuit in the right side low beam wiring. Did you use a "KNOWN GOOD" replacement sealed beam lamp when you exchanged it? Check for continuity of the filaments in the bulb you took out. Then check for 12 v between the ground contact and low beam wire contact in the plug (BLACK & TAN WIRES).

The wiring becomes common near the left headlight so if the left one works then your problem is in the wiring between the lights.

The outboard lamps are dual filament so when you turn on the high beams a DIFFERENT filament lights up in the outboard lamps than is used for the low beam.
