And on the 7th Day ......He Rested....

It's Saturday morning here in Ireland, and I've just completed this entire thread. I'm worn out and have a headache..... not sure if it's from reading this in entirety or that last Irish Coffee last night.

Thanks to all for the chuckles. As a common BS Marketing guy (BS can mean whatever you want), I even think I learned something!

      Cheers!

PS - apologies to those offended by the NCRS id number but it shows up automatically now and I'm too lazy to remove it. Actually I'm proud to be a member of this organization!

            DUNTOV DEVELOPED SCREAMER?

DUNTOV developed the small block into a screamer? What about Harry Barr, John Dolza, and a host of other hard working grunts running the dynos? Duntov was an administrative head and test driver. He DID NOT develop the "Duntov" cam "hands-on". We need an idol in this hobby, and Zora, (a personal friend before his passing), is the perfect choice BUT lets not forget the wrench turners. Its kinda like Eisenhower and Normandy. I feel that its the hands-on soldiers under fire that deserve the credit. We tend to extend accolades to the leaders rather than those whose sacrifices and efforts made it all possible. Who was that bespeckled skinny, bow-tied jerk in engineering? He said he had a Mark IV or something.

                Dale is

on a "Everyone is Right" kick, but I'm still havin' fun reading all this. It is Sat morning here in Abq, and I didn't have any Irish coffee last night, but had a couple of dark brewskies, and today I am off to the downtown Central (old Route 66) area that will be roped off for the Hot Rod Power Tour that is coming thorough town. Might even take the '66 big-block down there along with Steve Walker and his big-block Nova. Have a good weekend all.

                        TELEVISION

Hey Duke how's the policy at the nut house on TV? They threaten to take my TV away when I get philosopical over social ramifications of engineering trends in automotive design. I promised not to set fire to the mattress again so things are major cool at the moment. Sure am glad to have this compewter and be a member of NCR$ even though my number isn't desirable.
