I like the way he claims
there are less than 100 '53s left in existence (though he does say he was told that). c1registry.com currently has 129 53 models listed, and I doubt very much this is all of the existing cars. More likely, he just made it up figuring the car is over 50 years old.
Special interest cars can go like that- Tucker only made 51 cars, but at least 47 of them still exist.- Top

No doubt
there was plenty of stuff left over, when he was sweating out those 51 cars. I learned about Tucker literally at my Grandad's knee, My Grandad was a mechanic then, and anyone who was into cars knew the Tucker was exiting and innovative (if a bit expensive) and that Tucker had been screwed by the auto companies, through their political connections, because they feared that even if Tucker failed, his upgrades and safety features would cost them a lot of money to compete with. The film "Tucker" was almost word-for-word what he told me back in the 50's.- Top
