    67 Birthdate.

A question for those who might have worked at the St.Louis plant in 1967.....at approximately what time in the morning would 1967 VIN.NUMBER:15629 have rolled off the production line.....if 15629 was the first car built on the morning of Thursday, April 6th, 1967. Thanks for the help.

Are you kidding? You want to know what time in the morning your car was finished?

There's no way of knowing whether it was the first car off the line that day, but the whistle blew at 7:00 AM. No "roach-coach"

          Thanks John.

It looks like St.Louis was doing 99 cars per day around that time in April. If it was a 9 hour work day....7AM to 5PM with 1 hour for lunch....that would be around 11 cars per hour.....would that be about right in your opinion.

I think St. Louis was working two shifts in 1967.

              Rick -

Nope - it was two 8-hour shifts, seven jobs per hour, 30-minute lunch break.

It appears that in the month of April,1967 the plant was assembling 104 cars per day, during two 8 hour shifts, with 1/2 hour each shift for lunch, resulting in 15 working hours per day. That would be approximately 7 cars per hour or one car every 9 minutes.
