    Corvette News Magazine

    I tried to find the history of the Corvette News Magazine in the archives, but only found several references to the magazine or about articles from the magazine.

    Does anyone know what the start and ending publication dates were for the magazine, why was it stopped and are the old issues of value today or is it more a personal/nostalgia thing?

    Thanks to those who went before me and willing to share their wisdom

      Corvette News..produced by Campbell Ewald...GM's long time marketing partner.

      First issue in 1957.

      When I bought the George Moore / Eb Rose car...the first 20 years of Corvette News came with the car. George bought his 54 new and was on the list to start receiving Corvette News when it came out in 1957. He saved them all...for the 1st 20 years.

          Old issues are very valuable. A real V1N1 used to sell for about $1500.00. That's fifteen hundred.

          Other early issues sell in the $100 to $200 range. When you get past 68, you're lucky to get $2.00 each for them.

          CN was superceded by Corvette Quarterly, still in publication today.

          Last CN was Vol 30 No. 4 Winter 87-88. First CQ was Spring, 1988. Chuck

              Chuck I have duplicate issues of Corvette News since we had a 68 and a 70 bought new. Have lots of issues that are still in the unopened envelopes that they were sent in. Hope they are worth more than $2.00 one day.
