I AM TRYING TO REPAIR A 1958 RADIO- IT HAS BOTH TUBES & TRANSISTORS- iS THERE AN INVERTER THAT IS ALSO WITH IT (UNDER THE DASH) OR IS THERE AN INVERTER BUILT IN TO THE RADIO- ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.
a lot of the old gm radios used an "OZ4" ocillator (sp) which i think you are refering to as the inverter---use to get these at the liquor stores etc.---they had a self serve machine that you could test you tubes on and the new tubes were stored below---good luck
