C3 rust in cooling system

I have had the cooling system in my C3 flushed and new antifreeze mix added and fluid is still very rusty. Radiator is the original. Any idea as to what has to be done to get a through flush? thanks tom

Have it cleaned out at a shop..

Did you also remove the drains on the bottom of each side of the block, and remove the sludge that has accumulated down there? If not, you'd be surprised how much stuff can rest there after 30 years.

Your pushing rust from the block back into the radiator.

You'll need a "total" cooling system flush and even then, it still might surprise you with some dicoloration after.
