Ragtop Rear Window

My '67 is just about ready for a NCCA Show tomorrow,(no jokes please). The ragtop, which I think is original, is in fairly good shape, except for the cloudy rear window. I've tried several mild cleaners, with no improvement.

I was thinking about trying a Lexan plastic cleaner called "Safecut", which worked great on my rear hardtop window, or maybe just some silicone spray. This will be my 1st show with this car. Before I try anything rash, does anyone know an old timers trick which worked for them? Thanks, Patrick

I have used "Finnese" on my conv. rear windows when they get cloudy.I know it sounds harsh, but it works for me.It also does wonders to the shine of plastic tail light lenses.Try it on your wifes car first to see if you like it.It's made by 3M.I did not go garage to check spelling. Dave #861,I had to do it! I feel giddy with devilment.hehehehe

I have real good luck with two Meguiar's products: #10 and #17. One is a cleaner and the other is a polish. It is designed just for this sort of thing. I had a very cloudy rear window on my conv. top and it is now usable. Most good auto parts stores carry these two products. They come in plastic squeeze bottles. Gary 21316
