69 Wiper Door Actuator

I am told that late 69's used the pie pan style actuator like used on the 70's. I'm curious as to about what VIN number did this begin. Any ideas? Thanks.

The change occurred in late September or early October, 1969. My original-owner, mid-September-built 1969 has the "coffee can" style. However, the change occurred within a month after my car was built. I have never seen a car built earlier than September, 1969 with a known-original, "dual-pie-pan" actuator. Keep in mind that many 68-69's may have the "dual pie pan" actuator since that style actuator was SERVICE for all 68-69 for many years. When used in SERVICE, it also required a change of the mounting bracket.

Thanks Joe, my car seems to have been built early in the second week of Sept. 69, so it appears the "coffee can" type would be correct.

I would say that the "coffee can" style actuator is almost certainly what it was originally equipped with.
